AI assists. Teachers decide.
AI in Elevix Assess is optional, teacher-controlled, and never has the final say.
Bring your own AI provider
Each user configures their own AI provider, model and API key. Elevix Assess does not supply or pay for shared AI usage on your behalf — your provider account, your usage, your cost. AI features are entirely optional; the platform is fully usable without configuring one.
AI-assisted question generation
Give AI a topic, requirements, and optionally a syllabus document, and it proposes candidate questions. Every generated question is a candidate for review, edit, approval or discard — nothing enters your Question Bank automatically.
Document context for generation
Upload a syllabus or reference document and a relevant excerpt is used as context — never the entire file, and never an automatically generated assessment.
Supported document types for AI context: PDF, DOCX, TXT and CSV.
AI chat
A personal AI workspace for questions and drafting, using the same provider credentials you configure — separate from class chat, and never a source of grading or result data.
AI-assisted grading suggestions
Objective questions (multiple choice, true/false, numerical and more) grade automatically and deterministically — AI is never involved in that calculation. For short answer and essay responses, a teacher can request an AI suggestion: proposed marks, a confidence level, and brief reasoning.
An AI suggestion never finalizes a grade — the teacher still reviews and submits it.

Questions About AI
What can the AI features do?
AI can propose candidate questions for your Question Bank and suggest marks for short-answer or essay responses. It never creates a finished assessment or a final grade on its own.
What document types are supported for AI context?
PDF, DOCX, TXT and CSV. An uploaded document provides context for question generation — it never becomes an assessment by itself.
Are AI-generated grades final?
No. An AI grading suggestion is only ever a proposal — marks, a confidence level, and brief reasoning. The teacher reviews it and must explicitly submit the final grade.
