Terms of Service

1. The service

Elevix Assess is a free assessment management platform provided by Elevix Digital, letting teachers build question banks, create online and printable assessments, grade work, and report on results.

2. Accounts and roles

Teachers and students may self-register. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials confidential. A teacher account is responsible for the classes, questions, assessments, and grading it creates and manages.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Elevix Assess to upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, to attempt to access another user's account or data, to disrupt the service, or to use it for any purpose other than legitimate educational assessment.

4. Uploaded content

You retain ownership of content you upload (questions, documents, images, chat messages). You are responsible for having the right to upload it, and Elevix Assess may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. AI usage and user-provided credentials

AI features are optional and require you to configure your own AI provider, model, and API key. Elevix Assess does not supply or pay for AI usage on your behalf, and is not responsible for the availability, cost, accuracy, or content policies of any third-party AI provider you choose to use. You are responsible for keeping your own API key secure.

AI-generated questions and AI-assisted grading suggestions are candidates only. You remain responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, or discarding them before they are used — Elevix Assess never treats AI output as a final question or a final grade.

6. Assessments and results

Teachers are responsible for the content and grading of their own assessments, and for deciding when to publish results to students. Elevix Assess provides the platform and deterministic grading tools; it does not certify or accredit any assessment created using it.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Elevix Assess available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control.

8. Suspension

An account that violates these Terms, or is used in a way that harms the platform or other users, may be suspended.

9. Free service

Elevix Assess is currently provided free of charge. No payment or subscription is required to use it.

10. Limitations

Elevix Assess is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elevix Digital is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Changes to the service

We may update these Terms or the platform's features over time. Continued use of Elevix Assess after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
